“What inspires you” seems to be a topic of conversation amongst my friends lately. And in my humble opinion, there is nothing quite as exhilarating as finding inspiration in the least expected places, at the least expected moments.
Upon returning from an office errand, I stumbled into this cool little boutique called Na. It’s underground (literally as in location) and had a great ambience. But what caught my attention was its focus: art + underwear. What an interesting marriage of ideas! It just makes for such an intriguing store composition: you can purchase artsy men’s underwear, cards and paintings all designed by the same artist/owner-of-boutique.
Seeing Na was definitely an inspiration and really got my brain juices flowing. I would not have thought to marry art with underwear, but it really makes a lot of sense. After all, both art/design and underwear can be quite interpretive and intimate.
I’m gonna go brainstorm on other possibilities for shops/bars/retail environments. . . .
