The other day, was having a chat with Dr. Woo (our Graphics man at the office) when this XZibit song came on. He’s like, “you remember that video? It’s sick.” Of course we YouTubed it and I was reminded of just how dope it was. So here it is for y’all to watch, in case you’ve forgotten about it like I have:
This video came out in 1998 and is a great example of the evolution of music video content. Rarely do you see footage of raw street scenes in hip-hop videos these days (let alone believable ones). Even better, the video’s content actually matches the lyrics; XZibit didn’t take the easy way out by just having a bunch of ‘video hos’ gyrate around and throwing money everywhere ;) Solid.
